4 Ways To Use Eggs for Beauty this Easter

  • 4 Ways To Use Eggs for Beauty this Easter

Chocolate Eggs aren’t the only way to feel good at Easter.

Eggs are a rich, natural ingredient that have been used for beauty around the world for centuries. In ancient China and Arabia, eggs were used to naturally promote beautiful skin and hair, and today, bloggers are using them to apply make-up. Try these four, versatile methods of using eggs for beauty this Easter:

1. Tone your skin with eggs whites

Egg whites contain protein and astringent properties, which can make your pores smaller, tone your skin, and help reduce wrinkles. Make a face mask by mixing together egg whites, a squeeze of lemon and a tablespoon of honey. Apply it to your face and rinse off after ten minutes.

2. Reduce puffiness with a calming eye mask

Research shows that eating eggs is excellent for eye health, so why not apply them to your eyes. Brush a couple of slices of cucumber with a beaten egg, place them on your eyes, lay back and relax for 15 minutes. Gently wipe your eyes after removing, and see how refreshed, bright and less puffy they look.

3. Rejuvenate your hair with an egg hair mask

The proteins and minerals in eggs will make your hair shine. Simply mix an egg with some olive oil and apply to your hair, especially the dry ends. Keep it on for at least half an hour before washing off with shampoo. Your hair will be left looking sleek, bouncy and healthy.

4. Use a boiled egg to apply make-up

Beauty bloggers such as PopLuxe and Esther Gbudje, have found that peeled, boiled eggs are perfect for blending foundation, applying make-up and contouring. Boiled eggs create a flawless look and don’t absorb any make-up. Watch Esther Gbudje apply make-up with an egg to see how it’s done.
